By creating an account or using The Elderly Care Companion, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who may use the app

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the app under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.

2. What the app provides

We provide free tools to help families and caregivers plan routines, coordinate care, store memories, find resources, and get general guidance. The app is a supportive tool, not a medical service, and does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment, or emergency response.

3. Not medical advice

Information from the AI companion, activities, or resource library is general and educational only. It does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

4. Your content

You are responsible for the information you enter (notes, photos, profiles). You agree not to post unlawful, harmful, or infringing content. You retain ownership of your content and grant us a limited license to store and display it within your account.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the app or attempt to access others' private data
• Do not share your account credentials
• Do not use the app for any illegal or harmful purpose
• Respect the privacy of family members and care recipients

6. Account deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your Profile page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. After deletion, you may create a new account if you wish.

7. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or reliance on its content.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will note the updated date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
